Doing so requires a light foot on the accelerator, but there’s enough power to make it practical for certain situations. I was able to poke along in bumper-to-bumper freeway traffic without waking the engine, and the Aspen’s high driving position helps you plan momentum for the pace a few cars ahead. In a Prius, you’re at the mercy of whoever sits in front of the hybrid hatch.”
