Are dashboard lights changable?—by MRJS
I’ve got a 1996 Volvo 850. The dashboard lights for the speedometer and tachometer are out. Are those lights reasonably changable being behind all those dashboard layers?

Your dash illumination is usually fused with one of the side lights, so I would check your fuses first especially if the bulb failure light is comming on.You should the check your dimmer switch has you may have it turned down or it may be faulty if you have one.
To check the dimmer, remove the switch and bridge the two wires with a piece of cable, if the dimmer is faulty they should come on at full brightness when bridged. If these don’t work you would have to remove your dash panel and change the bulbs on the back of it.
