How to make a 1999 Acura TL “Fast and Furious”?—by Agustin

I have a stock 1999 3.2 TL, i already asked this question about 3 days ago and got 5 answers but the question somehow got deleted b4 i could check the answers. Anyway its stock and i want it to sound cool, look cool, and maybe be a little faster. Any help is appreciated thanks.

Hey, many know me as TheKingOfVTEC, and yes I can help.
It depends on how ‘fast and furious’ you want it to be. I used to have a 1999 TL, so I can help alot. I can’t help much in the appearance area, but mechanical, we can talk!If budget is not a huge issue, go with a Comptech Supercharger, its smooth power delivery will be excellent for a 6cyl engine, and all Comptech parts are Honda Certified and will not void your warrantee if you still have one. The supercharger will put the power from 225hp to the 275-290hp range. Since the VTEC system on the car engages right around 4600 rpm, the supercharger automatically adjust the system to change profiles at 3300 instead of 4600 for torque of about 260-275 ft. lbs at a flat curve of 3500-5800 rpm.

For exhaust, I would go with Comptech Exhaust System which has optional silencers if you want to keep the ‘lux’ profile for the car, and it adds about 12hp and 4 ft. lbs. Other than these major items, little things like maybe trying a high-horsepower synthetic blend oil like Q High-Horsepower Oil, and a high-performance transmission fluid.

3.2TL tends to be a little soft as far as ride goes, so try spring/shocks from bilstein, comptech, or edelbrock. Also Bridgestone Potenza, Michelin Exalto, or Nitto INVO tires will help in the ride/handling department.
