Pros: Great fuel economy, handles great on the highway, has pep when passing. Reasonable price.
Cons: No real cons other than perhaps the heater/blower fan is a little loud

I bought my used 2006 model for my teenage daughter, and got a great deal on it. The back seats don’t look like there’d be much leg room, but the seats are quite deep, and it’s surprising once you get in and get sat down, my teen and her friends have plenty of leg room. The trunk is deep and has a fair bit of room, I also like that the back seats fold forward so a person can fit longer items in the trunk. Fuel economy is great, I average about 6.6 litres/100 km on the highway, and about 8.5 litres/100 km around the city. Overall I’m very satisfied, and think it’s a great buy.

Pros: Great stereo, Very smooth Auto transmission, Remote start
Cons: Fuel Econ is poor compared to others, Cheap wheel covers

I bought my 2007 Cobalt used with 25,000 miles on it. The 2007 models come with a 3 year/36,000 mile comprehensive coverage and 5 year/100,000 coverage on the powertrain. I paid around $12,000 after taxes and fees out the door. The car stickered at $17,000 when new. Let GM take the hit on the first year loss in value! It will save you from being “upside down”, or owing more than the car is worth, on your loan. The wheel covers on the LT1 package are really easy to ruin. If you can afford it, step up to the LT2. You will get nicer wheels, cargo net, and a few other goodies that will make the car look sportier. The stereo is great….RDS and 30 preset AM/FM stations with XM Stereo using the stock radio is great! Back seat is small, but useful for short trips. Trunk is deep, but opening is small. Consumer Reports just gave the 2007 Cobalt an above average rating for a used car. This car is worlds better than the car it replaces. I would have never even considered a small car from Chevy before I drove this car. Just remember that this car is going to average more like 23 MPG in mixed use driving with the automatic.
