2008 Chevrolet Malibu Professional Reviews:

CarSmart Reviewed the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and gave out”The 2008 Chevrolet Malibu’s competition is great rather than very good, and midsize sedan shoppers buy as much for brand prestige as they do safety, reliability, style, and value. It’s not enough to simply stack up against the competition – the Malibu needs to drill a right hook upside the jaws of Honda, Nissan and Toyota, and then get the media and Malibu owners to overwhelmingly praise the car. A test drive, preferably not behind the wheel of a thrashed rental while on vacation, will determine whether this redesigned Chevy really does have “the goods to assert a leadership position in the segment.””

thecarconnection Reviewed the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and gave out” With the four-cylinder, the Malibu is swift enough, but no sizzler. This engine is paired with a fuel-saving electric power steering system. In earlier incarnations, we avoided GM’s EPS whenever possible. This latest generation is a sizable improvement. You get a clear feel of the road, with a reasonably linear boost, depending on speed.”

automobilemag Reviewed the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and gave out”The front end is pretty nice, with some Chevy character, but the rear is bland and boring, with nothing but the bow tie to tell us what it is. What GM has to accomplish, now that the basics are more than properly taken care of, is to figure out how to compel my acquisitive lusts, and those hundreds of thousands of others’, making a car with enough spice and excitement that we don’t just want one, we have to have one. That means more, and better, style.”
