Features 9 out of 10:The 2008 Dodge Charger has some spartan versions–but lots of cutting-edge features are offered. Safety 8 out of 10:The 2008 Dodge Charger performs well when outfitted with a full complement of airbags–but they’re optional on the base model, and the Charger still only rates “marginal” for rear impacts. Styling 8 out of 10:The 2008 Dodge Charger isn’t a direct descendant of the original muscle car by the same name–but it’s a sharp-looking sedan nonetheless. Quality 8 out of 10:For what it is, the 2008 Dodge Charger is comfortable enough for the longest days of traveling.

Buying Tips:
With fuel prices so high, any dealer with a 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 in stock should be willing to do just about anything to move that car over the curb. Keep resale values in mind–Dodge’s residual values haven’t been strong in years past.

I am a female in my mid 50’s. I have always had a muscle car of some sort all my adult life but I must say this is the first Mopar muscle car I’ve had and will be my last. I bought my Charger R/T in March of 2006 and everytime I get in it, I still feel like I did the day I drove it off the car lot. I get lots of looks, I should say, my car does. In November a year ago I had the 50 series Flow Master mufflers put on and got the sound I wanted. It’s a very suttle deep smooth sound that also turns heads. I can’t count on my hands how many times guys pull up beside me and rev their engine only to back off when they hear mine. Some have been brave and raced me only to be left behind. So far I have had my “Lizzy” up to 140mph. IT WAS GREAT!!
When I first got my car I was told that my car would shut down at 120mph. They guy that told me that also liked fast cars and it was upsetting. That’s when I decided I was going to see if it was true. If it had been, I had every intention of returning the car and getting my old one back. I was not disappointed!!! When I hit 120mph the car felt like it shifted and raised slightly. It felt like an airplane starting to lift off the runway. It was the best adrenaline rush I’ve ever had. I would recommend a Dodge Charger R/T to anyone who likes the security of a well built and good performing car. When I’m in my car I feel safe, because I know I can get awary from a situation if I need to and I feel protected because I feel I’m surrounded by a well built car. My grandchildren love grandma’s car too. Not only does it look good, I get great gas mileage. I am a traveling nurse and drove from southern Indiana to Baton Rouge, LA then up to Alexandria, LA. I filled up in Indiana the day before I left, again in Memphis, TN and in Baton Rouge. I didn’t fill up again until 10 days after I arrived in Alexandria, LA. The car was never below a quarter of a tank when I filled it up each time. I can’t say enough about the Charger R/T. I was torn between the XRT and the R/T but I did’nt need all the power that the XRT has, after all I’m just a grandma.

I wish I never bought this car. Dodge makes an inferior product compared to other car companies. My car has been nothing but trouble since I bought it. Tranny leaks, engine leaks, coolant leaks. Not to mention the weird lifter noises Dodge couldn’t fix, so they replaced the engine. This car looks good on the outside but is slapped together with duct tape and cardboard inside. The car is fast for a V6 but the gas mileage is poor compared to all those new green cars. I would strongly advise AGAINST EVER buying a Dodge or Chrysler product! Its not worth it!
