2008 Dodge Durango Professional Reviews:

NewCars has reviewed the 2008 Dodge Durango and given out”Although the basic warranty that comes with the typical fullsize suv is a bit longer than the Durango’s, the difference isn’t too marked. As far as warranty against rust, the typical fullsize suv has considerably better coverage than the Dodge Durango.”

edmunds has reviewed the 2008 Dodge Durango and given out”Pros: Powerful V8 engines, smooth ride, respectable handling and off-road ability, generous cargo and towing capacities, intuitive controls. Cons: Poor fuel mileage, subpar fit and finish inside, cramped second-row legroom.”

NewCarTestDrive has reviewed the 2008 Dodge Durango and given out”Dodge Durango is smooth and powerful with either of the two V8 engines. It rides well, handles well for its size and weight, and has excellent engineering touches and details. If you need a large SUV for towing or managing rough terrain, the Durango is a fine choice. If not, a car-based crossover SUV would provide a more pleasant driving experience and deliver better fuel economy.”

2008 Dodge 1500, Ford F-150 or Chevy Silverado?
I am looking to buy a new truck and have done tons of research. They are all close to 17 Mpg. I’ve owned Ford and Dodge and still am not able to make up my mind. My Durango is having bad transmission issues and I need a new one. Please help!!

      After driving all ‘07 models Ford 4.6L or whaterver small V8 size/Dodge Hemi/GM 4.8L and 5.3L/Nissan Titan

I pick the Chev. It had the most comfortable interior out of all. Had the smoothest ride, got the best fuel economy. Fit and finish was pretty much a tie between the americans, I hate the Titan (fast truck 5spd auto, good power, tire burner) but the interior SUCKS. My ‘90 Ford was better than that damn thing.

GM has really made a car-like truck… And that is what fits most truck people. They just have a truck to put crap in the back, but it really isn’t used like trucks were designed for back in the day. The Hemi Dodge has become quite popular, but I’ve heard that the 6.0L in the GM (if optioned right) is quicker than the Hemi.

      Whats the better SUV?
      2008 Cadillac Escalade ESV
      2008 GMC Yukon Denali XL
      2008 Chevrolet Suburban
      2004 Ford Excursion
      2008 Ford Expedition King Ranch
      2008 Hummer H2
      2008 Toyota Sequoia Limited 4×4
      2008 Nissan Pathfinder Armada
      2008 Lexus LX570
      2008 Dodge Durango
      2008 Jeep Commander

    4. C7S Says:

Alot of these are the same thing.

The Escalade, GMC Yukon Denali, and Chevy Suburban are the same cars. Same engines and size and shape and gas mileage. The Hummer H2 even has the same engine.

The Lexus and Toyota are the same. Same size, and engine. The Lexus is just more luxurious.

Do not get the Ford’s, Jeep’s, or Dodge’s.
Do not get the Hummer H2.

Get one of the three triplets made by GM or the Toyota and Lexus.

Has anyone have a problem with 2008 dodge durango ignition power stays on after key is removed?
If I press the brake in with the truck running I can remove the key and it will stay running until I let go of the brake. If the truck is not running if I hit the brake the ignition system will power up.

    6. someone Says:

I had a 98 durango that the a/c would run only if the interior light switch on.
If the A/C switch was on & the A/C not working. You could turn the ignition off. Remove the key. Open the door & the a/c would come on & run for the length of time the interior lights normally stay on after exiting your vehicle.
The local Dodge people did not know what was wrong & were too stupid to call MOPAR & get help.
I traded it & took a beating, but will never own another DODGE.
