Pros: Been using my Dodge Caravan for 8 years now and happy to buy the new Caravan!
Cons: Some people bad mouthing this good car because their sales are going south on them! Not even owner!

I believe the redesigned Dodge Caravan will be the same as my old ‘99 Grand Caravan or even better service. I know for a fact because I still kept the old van and will use more the new one. The old Dodge did not give me any problem, except the leak of the rear brakes and malfunction of the intermitent wipers control. Contrary to the salesman of the next tread, it bad mouths the Caravan because their sales are going down and people are into buying the restyled Dodge Caravan with lifetime warranty. Toyota and Honda can’t even offer such programs because of the unreliable transmission and engines of their products which they don’t even trust!

Pros: All Good!!!
Cons: All Good!!! except the Dog Gang Shift Knob!!!! Are than that!!!

I have owned a 1991 Dodge Grand Caravan. That Van went until last year 2006. It had over 300K mileage on the original engine. That Van did more than what it was suppost to do. I have a 1999 Grand Caravan
It is my second hand Van. This van has over 300K with the same engine. I replaced a trans. and other things that went out. But this van still rides well and works well. Then I bought a 2003 Dodge Caravan SXT. My daughter uses this at college at college. This one is the shorter length. It it is turning out to be a great van. Easy to handle and rides well. Gas mileage is okay.
Now this weekend I purchased a new 2008 SE Grand Caravan. I got the one for around $30K. I didn’t need the swivle seats. This one came with the folding back seats. I didn’t need the DVD stuff as well. It came with a fantastic Sound system. Uses both my cassette and CD and can something with other things my kids can use. The ride is wonderfull and quite. Only one thing I did not like is the shift knob. I feel they forgot to put one in and put it anywhere. That is the only disappointment. I liked my shifter by the stearing wheel. I guess I am old fastion. Toyota and Honda as well have this. Dodge was afraid to be different here. The 3.8V 6 and 6 speed trans is nice and smooth. I got the Flex fuel. I am getting 22 mpg hwy with 87. about 20 mpg over all. My older 1999 had the best lines and handled better in the wind going down the fwy.. The new one rocks a little with cross winds.
I almost bought a Kia. Their Van was very good as well. I am giving Dodge one more round!! Just did not like the shift knob.
The warranty is fantastic. Use Mobile One oil for any engine. That is what I use totally on my Vans. That is one of the reasons the engines are lasting so long.
