It was a really tough task to pick a winner in comparing the G35 to the CTS, but in the end I went with the G35. The things that made the G35 more attractive, and therefore my choice were: backup camera, built-in bluetooth, active cruise control, 4k lower price (with all wanted options).
Favorite Features
Keyless entry & ignition. Hard drive for capturing songs. Backup camera. Navigation. Active cruise control. Flash drive for playing additional music. The iPod connection for playing video. In dash CD and in trunk 5 disc player. Built-in recharger for key fob.
Suggested Improvements
Greater spacing in gear ratios and add a 6th gear (to the automatic) to improve fuel consumption. Add cooled seats as option. Reduce inclination to jump off the line on take-off. Allow rear seats to fold flat. Add 1 inch to front and rear head room.

Before I bought my 2007 G35X, I test drove the Lexus IS 250 AWD, Audi A4, and the BMW 328xi. Price aside, I just felt the G35X felt more competent on the road and had the perfect mix of fun driving characteristics and upscale features.

It felt faster from a stop, more stable in the turns, and the interior just blew me away. I bought mine fully loaded and the technical features are outstanding. Comparably equipped, none of the three competitors above even comes close.

If you are like me and depend on your car to help you to look forward to the daily commute to work and the ride home, I can’t recommend the G35X enough. You will smile every time you press that “Start” button and hear that smooth engine purr.

The G35X is an amazing car and you will not be disappointed if you choose to buy one.
