2008 Isuzu Ascender Autofans Collection
The 2008 Ascender is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in two trims, the S 2WD and the S 4WD. Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 4.2-liter, I6, 285-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 20-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The 2008 Ascender is a carryover from 2007.

cars.com reviewed the 2008 Isuzu Ascender and gave out”The Ascender’s 4.2-liter inline-six-cylinder engine was recalibrated for 2008 and recertified by the Society of Automotive Engineers. The engine delivers 285 horsepower, a slight decrease from the 2007 model’s figure. Each engine teams with a four-speed automatic transmission.”
