When you set out to buy a midsize front-wheel-drive coupe, you have to be willing to make some tough choices

Edmunds test the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe and gave out”If you’ve got a specific craving for a more decadent rear-drive car like the Ford Mustang GT or Mazda RX-8, you shouldn’t ask an Altima coupe to satisfy it. But if you’re willing to admit that ride comfort, fuel economy and interior spaciousness are important, then the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe is one of the best options out there. Among the current population of V6 front-drive coupes, the 3.5 SE is by far the best drive.”

    Nissan Altima Coupe 2008 Question??
Do you get more than one keyless device thing? Also, if it breaks, is there a way to get in your car?

Let’s make the best of what you have.

Firstly you gotta fix that transmission to act as fast as a manual. www.levelten.com has a solution to tighten the transmission and provide you with very very tight and manual-like gear shifts.

2.5L is not exactly a small engine.. to be cost effective, you can get just get a good sports header (these can be custom made and try to use 316 stainless steel instead of 304. it’s more reliable. Of course Inconel would be much better and expensive)

You would want to have a cold air intake which you can get from http://www.car-stuff.com/mmparts/nissan-altima/cold_air_intake.html

With a couple of these mods, you would want to run a little richer with more air flow coming in with an aftermarket ECU.

You can either get an APEXI Power FC or Nismo or something in the same price range.. MOTEC, Haltech are too hard core for your initial purposes.

BUT before you do anything.. do your research on what reputable garages are around your geographic region to fix all these up. They will be able to provide a much better analysis after you discuss exactly what are your HP and driving style goals.
