Pros: Excellent Fule Economy, Great Utility
Cons: Loud Ride, Underpowered, Thin window glass
We had a Vibe for 3 and a half years. Not much has changed since the 2003 we owned. It was a great car. If you fold down the seats, you won’t believe the cargo room. If you need a small, gas friendly, convenient auto for a little under $20,000 then this is a great choice. Gas mileage was better in this than my 2007 Honda Civic. The ride in the vibe, however, is very rough and the road noise is LOUD. After 60,000 miles we only had to replace a battery-happens to all cars at some point-and a belt tensioner. The engine is very well built. This is a great car for a high school/college student. It is a bit small for a family. Pontiac did very well with this auto. That being said, we have moved on to a Jeep Grand Cherokee and the only thing we miss is the fuel economy.

Pros: Plenty of Room, Great MPG, More standard features than Matrix
Cons: Rougher ride, road noise, more power please…
I bought this vehicle for my wife. The car is great and the child seat fits perfectly in the 2nd row. The room for me, 6′5″, is perfect with room to spare for the 2nd row passengers. Gas mileage is good and takes $35 to fill up.
I would have scored the Appearance higher if I had the monotone appearance package. I recommend the option to everyone because it really finishes the car off perfectly.
I opted for one with the moonroof and upgraded sound system. Both work great! Sound system has great bass and the moonroof is very easy to operate.
The engine is alittle loud, but most 4cyl cars are. The car has just thr right amount of power for its size, however I have yet to try the car out with a load on it. I do wish it had more power for the just-in-case times.
Handling is great. It takes turns easily. Steering wheel feedback is great. The small wheel base and tires (base steelies with covers) give it a rougher ride over bumps, but it is tolerable.
Big selling point for me was the market value on the used ones. The Vibe seems to hold its value exceptionally well.
