Introduction of 2009 Lexus LS
The 2009 LS is a 4-door, up to 5-passenger luxury sedan, available in 4 trims, ranging from the 460 RWD to the 460 L AWD.
Upon introduction, the 460 RWD is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 380-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 24-mpg on the highway. The 460 L AWD is equipped with a standard 4.6-liter, V8, 357-horsepower engine that achieves 16-mpg in the city and 23-mpg on the highway. A 8-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims.
The 2009 LS is a carryover from 2008.

I bought this 2009 LS 460 RWD new and I love the way it rides. I’m averaging 28 MPG on the highway and through towns. Besides all of that, the car is simply beautiful.

We have owned numerous other cars, including Acura, BMW, Buick and Infinitie, this 460 RWD is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. The ride is smooth, the interior is quiet and the quality is outstanding. We have had not problems and definitely have no complaints

Smoothest ride of any car I have driven, including S550, 745Li, A8L. Added plus of AWD. Mark Levinson is the finest automobile audio system by far. The air suspension soaks up bumps as if they were not there. More quiet and refined than others of its class.
