Buying Tips:
MINI was one of the few automotive brands that enjoyed sales increases in 2008. This vehicle is highly sought, and as such, people sometimes pay more than MSRP for the MINI Cooper of their choice. Don’t expect fire-sale deals, and know that options such as navigation, USB compatibility, and other baubles/bolt-ons add to the price quickly.

About Mini
imageMINI was launched in 1959 but only took off in Canada in 2001 under the stewardship of BMW. There are 23 MINI dealerships across the country, all offering the Cooper Classic, Cooper, Cooper S (the latter two are available in both coupe and convertible models). The 2008 model year marked the addition of the larger Clubman and Clubman S. And let’s not forget about the sportier John Cooper Works editions.

How about Negotiating a Mini Cooper.I want to buy a 2009 Mini Cooper convertible and I am trying to do some research on price. From what I’ve found it seems like most people pay MSRP for their Mini. I know 2 years ago they were a lot more popular, so is there any room to negotiate today?

as the novelty seems to remain strong on these, you’ll probably not find too much wiggle room on the prices. some are still paying mark-ups.

If you want to save some money, my suggestion, buy one that a year or two old. That when cars lose the most value, so you can get a Mini that’s a year old with a few thousand miles on it, for a couple grand less. Otherwise, not too much wiggle room, you could try looking on ebay for better prices in a different state. Lots of times ebay has cars for sale much cheaper then the dealers in town. Hope that helps!

Anyone had any problems with a leaking mini convertible?we have just got our brand new mini cooper convertible (2009). it rained last night and when we opened the roof this morning the rear left hand corner parts were wet as if it leaked. Has anyone had this problem with the mini convertible in the past? Should we take it back it to be checked?
