2009 Nissan Murano Professional Reviews:

TheCarConnection has reviewed the 2009 Nissan Murano and given out” The Murano can rightly be criticized for a slightly snug interior and the new tiered nose, but not much else. There’s none of the wet-diaper dynamics of the Toyota Highlander or the egregious heft of the Ford Edge - just quick, natural responses, coupled to a right-sized crossover body with jazzy, urbane styling.”

NewCarTestDrive has reviewed the 2009 Nissan Murano and given out” Like certain other mid-size utility vehicles designed with drivers in mind the Murano does not squeeze in a third-row seat, favoring space for five and luggage over seat counts their Pathfinder, Quest and Armada already address.”

About.com has reviewed the 2009 Nissan Murano and given out”Murano owner loyalty is very high, so many people who buy the new Murano are probably going to be previous owners. If you want to be the first one in your neighborhood with a 2009 crossover, run out to your Nissan dealer and put some money down on the new Murano to replace your old one. You’ll certainly get an excellent vehicle. Just don’t expect your friends and neighbors to notice the difference.”

edmunds has reviewed the 2009 Nissan Murano and given out”Nissan retains the Murano’s attractive qualities while making some key improvements to keep this sporty crossover more than competitive in the midsize segment. Pros: Responsive powertrain, sporty handling and smooth ride, luxurious cabin in LE trim. Cons: Cargo space behind second row a few cubes shy of some rivals, compromised rear visibility.”

2009 Nissan Murano or 2008 Ford Edge?
I am trading in my 2007 Nissan Sentra, and I’ve narrowed it down to two vehicles, the 2008 Ford Edge, and the 2009 Nissan Murano.

They get about the same MPG, and they are both basically the same size, and shape.

I like everything about them both, but am having serious trouble deciding on one.

      Which would you recommend?

PLEASE, no answers saying, “Buy American.” I honestly don’t care if it’s American made or not, so I am NOT taking that into consideration.

      Thank you!

Maybe you should care whether or not it’s American made or not. It’s foreign automakers, specifically the Japanese, that are going to drive America right into the ground. I don’t care whether or not they make better cars. They still are killing the American economy, and causing tons of jobs to be lost. And by not caring you are basically saying you don’t care whether or not America falls into an extreme depression. So if I were you, I would think very carefully about what you buy.

On another note, the Edge is a much better vehicle. It’s safe, offers Sync (an awesome feature), and is probably cheaper, since the Murano starts at like $26K. (I also personally think the new Murano is UGLY! no offense or anything…)

Do you really need to use Premium gas only for the 2009 Nissan Murano?

    4. C7S Says:

Yes. It uses a powerful V6 engine so it needs premium.
Powerful cars or cars with turbo’s or superchargers require premium.

    5. zoomproncis Says:

Premium or Regular fuel on 2009 Nissan Murano?
Does anyone know exactly what the fuel requirements are for the 2009 Nissan Murano? I’ve seen conflicting reports between regular and premium and wanted to find out what the definitive answer will be for the vehicle.

      Thanks for the help.

    6. deusnobiscum Says:

      Premium.
The Murano and Maxima have used the 3.5 v6 for many years. It was designed for premium and needs premium. Its a great engine and has won awards for many years straight. I have no doubt that Nissan will not alter this. Bank on premium.
