Upon introduction, the Camry-Grade 5-Spd MT is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 158-horsepower engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 31-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard. The XLE V6 6-Spd AT is equipped with a standard 3.5-liter, V6, 268-horsepower engine that achieves 19-mpg in the city and 28-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
The 2009 Camry is a carryover from 2008.

Buying Tips:
Watch the price. The CE and LE models represent good value, but prices on the V-6 SE and XLE models can well exceed the $30,000 mark. For about the same money, you might be able to get the larger Avalon, which has an even bigger backseat and plusher ride, or the Lexus ES350, which includes a warmer Lexus interior and Lexus dealership privileges.

i drived a lot of different cars for many year as acura,lexus,ford,chevy and pontiac but this camry le LE 5-Spd AT is one of the best and i love it,but the best thing is parts cheaper then those brand,great fuel and run smooth,my favorite part about this car is the body style so cool and will purchase another camry again,i love it so much that why this car 2009 but i put on it 25k miles already coz i droved to california,around texas and new york,florida etc etc and still run great and so quiet,the a/c so cold and i do not have problem with blind spot as another people commented,i would recomment this great toyota camry to people though,but i heard toyota camry 2008 v6 is a mistake of all models,and the best toyota camry of all is 2004 model.so check it out about it and see! so enjoy it and hope you will love it as mine!

i love my 09 camry se.. i had an 08 altima,,,, and this car is so much better,, the interior is nice,, not to fancy but good.. the seats are very comfortable, the console dvd player is also nice,,,great warranty,, the dealership i purchased it from have been exceptionally nice,,, very roomy,, large trunk. and smooth ride.. i feel very safe in my camry and when it comes time to purchase another car ,,, it will probably be a camry or at least a toyota..

purhcased the LE 2009, very pleased, the only complain i have is the transmission does slips…but i figure how to fix..for some reason (dont know why), but if you press the button that lets outside air in the car..(meaning the light is ON) the engine’s transmission picks up good, even when your trying to stop fast…PLEASE TRY IT…it works for me. (for some mystery reason)
