On the road, the Matrix XRS handles itself pretty well, being predictable and dynamic. However, its economy-car roots can’t make it a real sports car.
auto123 has reviewed the 2009 Toyota Matrix and given out ”The 2009 Matrix is all-new, but remains familiar. It’s more refined, quieter and just as practical. Its fit and finish is better than in the HHR and Caliber, it’s more fun to drive than the SX4, but not quite as much as the Mazda5 and Astra.”
