2009 Volkswagen CC Reviews and Buying Tips
2009 Volkswagen CC Reviews @TheCarConnection update 28 May’09
The 2009 Volkswagen CC is not the safest, most practical, or sportiest sedan in its segment, but its interior and exterior styling are matched only by vehicles costing significantly more.
Introduction of 2009 Volkswagen CC
The 2009 CC is a 4-door, 4-passenger sports sedan, available in 4 trims, ranging from the Sport to the VR6 4Motion.
Upon introduction, the Sport is equipped with a standard 2.0-liter, I4, 200-horsepower, turbo engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 31-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard, and a 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional. The VR6 4Motion is equipped with a standard 3.6-liter, V6, 280-horsepower engine that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 25-mpg on the highway. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
The 2009 CC is all-new for 2009.

- TheCarConnection—STYLING:From the dash to the grille, it’s clear that Volkswagen has placed a very strong emphasis on styling for the debut of the 2009 Volkswagen CC;PERFORMANCE:While the numb steering feel discourages spirited driving in the 2009 Volkswagen CC, it offers satisfying overall performance;QUALITY:The 2009 Volkswagen CC goes well above and beyond its price tag to offer a luxurious experience that leaves little to be desired; SAFETY:There are no glaring flaws with the 2009 Volkswagen CC’s safety features, but crash-test results aren’t at the front of the pack;FEATURES:From Bluetooth to navigation to high-end audio systems, the 2009 Volkswagen CC has it all—but most of it is optional.
- Auto123—The Passat CC is a stunning car and possibly the most striking VW design since the original Beetle. We wouldn’t be surprised to see the regular Passat retire in favour of the CC, and the latter might even steal sales from the Jetta GLI.Why? Simply because for 32 grand, you get a spacious, nicely-equipped and especially beautiful sedan. The base model isn’t as powerful as the competition, but it doesn’t need to be; a supermodel doesn’t run during fashion shows but struts, and the Passat CC does that very well.

Buying Tips:
Skip the V-6 and the 4Motion all-wheel drive; you’ll get all of the remarkable style with better overall performance and greater ride comfort (the larger wheels decrease ride quality but don’t improve handling). You’ll also save over $10,000.

VR6 Sport looks greats, handles really well, the VR6 is under powered and might need a little bit of help, the interior is nicer than a 5 series, there aren’t many cars in this class that would compare, specially the materials and feel of the interior. Please make sure that if you get once and need a blue tooth that you demand from the dealer the blue tooth brand and not the VW brand as they work a little different and besides the factory one is $200 compared to the dealer one which is over $400.

we bought the luxury CC with the leather two tone white/gold met. paint and with navigation. Rear windows are tinted also. The CC is one great car. My buddy owns a lexus and felt the car was better handling and has nicer features especially the body trim. This is my 3rd VW, daughter has a 09 Beetle and we owned an 01 Passat. I think it is one of the best overall values out there and you throw in the 3 years free maint. Great car.

This VR6 Sport handles well, moves well and looks great! Front seats are roomy and comfortable. Rear seats are roomy but not for passengers on a road trip.
