The V8 is Great family car. Marginal luxury car. Very comfortable. Tremedous flexibility. 13 MPG around town. 20 MPG is the best I’ve ever seen on the highway.
Huge storage capacity. Doesn’t drive as well as my X5, but is compares well to an MDX. Resale plummeted when gas hit $4/gallon and never recovered.
Great deal if you buy used.

We love our XC90 V8, we get about 18MPG in the city and 25MPG on the hwy. It’s really great for long trips.

I simply love this 3.2 car! It is gorgeous and it doesnt matter how much snow is in the ground you will feel safe driving this car (of course you have to use your common sense and not drive 70 MPH in a snow storm). Even if you have the seats from the third row up you still have a good amount of space to put things like 6 or 7 grocery bags in the back – or a small stroller and diaper bag.

Have been driving the 3.2L model for over 6 months. Best car I ever drove. You feel safe. For a SUV, drive fantastic on the road. Not really a true 4WD. But then, how often do you really drive on a dirt track. I reckon it is about 2% of my total mileage.
