- carseek—”The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu will surprise you – not only with its good looks, but with its loads of standard features and obvious ability to effortlessly compete with more heavy hitters like Honda and Toyota. Attractive price points, excellent safety features, easy-on-the-pocket fuel efficiency and that wonderful Chevrolet reputation are all included with this exciting new midsized sedan.”
- Consumer Guide Automotive—”The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu Hybrid is no longer available for retail sale, but it can be ordered for fleet deliveries. Available safety features on all Malibus include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain side airbags, and front side airbags. A wireless cell phone link, leather upholstery, and heated front seats are available.”
- Edmunds.com—”The 2010 Chevrolet Malibu is a solid entry in the highly competitive midsize sedan category, but we would recommend driving some of its main rivals before you make your final decision.”
- CarGurus—”Though owners of the 2010 Chevy Malibu are, for the most part, well-satisfied with their ride, a few issues have been raised. For instance, acceleration with the I4 engine could be better, at least from a stop, and mileage is mentioned as a bit of a problem with V6-equipped trims. The Malibu’s brakes seem to be problematic for more than a few owners, with at least two mentioning the need for brake service before six months of ownership. Irksome details, such as lackluster rear styling, poor rear-seat legroom, the lack of floor mats as standard equipment, and the use of some chintzy cabin materials, also disturbs numerous owners.”
Buying Tips:
Performance from the four-cylinder and V-6 engine options are significantly different, and the two cars get completely different steering systems as well, so ensure you test drive both for the 2010 Chevrolet Malibu.

Pros
good gas mil. lots of room inside.
Cons
lots of road noise when driving on the highway
Purchased As New
We traded our Grand Caravan for an 09 Malibu this month. I was a little hessitent about going from a mini van to a sedan, but after a road trip with my two young girls I have realized that there is plenty of room in this car to suit a family of four! I am a little unsatisfied with the amount of noise that is produced when driving on the highway, but with the radio on it is comfortable enough. I would buy this car again.

Pros
Very comforatble, great MPG, sound system, ride, handling
Cons
Nothing so far
Purchased As New
Traded my BMW for the Malibu. I haven’t bought an America Car since 1976. I love the Malibu. The fit & finish is great. Enough Power for me with the I4 and 6 speed transmission. Good mpg, so far averaging over 25 and get 36-38 at constant speed on highway. Unlike any other American car I have owned, th eMalibu hugs the road, gives you adequate isolation, but maintains road feel, and the seats are very comfortable. Love the Entertainment system and the quality sound. Paid just a bit over $26000 and my previous Lexus G# 350 I paid $52000. Congratulations GM, keep it up!
