Index of 2010 Ford Flex Expert Reviews:

    • thecarconnection—”STYLING:The 2010 Ford Flex is like nothing in the crossover segment—but it echoes two of TheCarConnection.com’s most style-forward vehicles, the Land Rover Range Rover and the MINI Cooper;PERFORMANCE:The 2010 Ford Flex performs well enough with the base engine, but it’s all the more impressive with the twin-turbo EcoBoost V-6;QUALITY:The 2010 Ford Flex impresses with its spaciousness, interior comforts, and high-quality cabin;SAFETY:The 2010 Ford Flex is one of the safest vehicles on the road;FEATURES:The 2010 Ford Flex is fantastically equipped, with a laundry list of high-tech options.”
    • Leftlane—”If Ford can lure shoppers into showrooms, they’ll either look past or embrace the eccentric styling and find the most complete, thorough and interesting crossover in the class. We don’t generally get excited about crossovers, but Ford’s high-performance, decent value Flex pushes all the right buttons for enthusiasts, recreational users and families alike.”
    • Edmunds.com—”The 2010 Ford Flex is a thoughtfully designed and cool-looking alternative to minivans and seven-passenger crossover SUVs. We think most families would be well served by its diverse abilities.—Pros:High-quality cabin, genuine seven-passenger space, refined ride, excellent safety scores, high-tech features, strong turbocharged engine option, unique styling.—Cons:Transmission is reluctant to downshift, less maximum cargo space than competing minivans and some crossovers.”
    • cnet reviews—”The good: The 2010 Ford Flex’s EcoBoost engine serves up big power while not blowing it on fuel economy. The Ford Sync system is still the best way to integrate MP3 players and cell phones. Optional navigation includes traffic, weather, and fuel prices.—The bad: The navigation service for Ford’s Sync system was frustrating to use.—The bottom line: Optioned up right, the 2010 Ford Flex SEL with EcoBoost impresses as a tech cruiser, and can haul around plenty of people or cargo in unique style.”

    Buying Tips:
It’s easy to spend more than $40,000 on a standard-engine Flex, and the EcoBoost Flex, fully loaded, can hit $50,000. Watch those options and stick with one of the lower trims if you want to mind the bottom line.
