2010 Toyota Camry or 2010 Ford Fusion?—By John
Ok, both of these cars are in the Midsize class, also known as the every person’s car class. This isn’t a question for buying experience, Im too young to drive and already know I would get the Fusion in a heartbeat. Not because it is American, but because it is fuel efficient. Anyways, I asked this a while ago, and want to see how the market has changed.

The new ford Fusion by far, it is better on gas, has more power, looks a lot better, same reliability ratings and is also safer. Oh and your helping keep the economy going as the money you spend will stay in America and not go all the way to Japan.

I would go with the Toyota camry, it is much nicer than the fusion and will keep its resale value. Chrysler just declared bankrupcy and if that happens with ford then the fusion won’t be worth anything.

Many people will tell you that the Toyota is alot more relaible which is true in some ways,
The cars Ford has been building for the last 2-3 years are actually just about as reliable as toyota or honda. What we dont know is how these newer Fords will be when they start to get higher milage i.e. well over 100k miles.
We know that Toyota’s and Honda’s will run pretty well with 2 even 300k miles. That beign said unless your planning on keeping this car for more than 10 years and putting well over 100k miles on it Quality will be about the same for the Camary and the Fusion. If you treat them right they will run fine.
So its really up to you, personall preference. What car gives you the options you want or which car is cheaper? Which one looks better to you?

I can’t give you a bias on either side. The Fusion has not been avaliable for test drive to the public yet, so no speculation on that part
but what i can say is that both are great options, and it comes down to your preference.
While the camry is known for its reliabilty, its also known for its dull and soulless ride. Are you willing to sacrifice reliability and name for the soul less ride? for me, i personally wasn’t willing to give up my sporty ride, which crossed all toyotas off of my list.
The current fusion on the other hand has a pretty enjoyabe ride, and has decenly high reliabilty ratings. What i really like about the Fusion is the comfortable interior and aggressive styling- while it isn’t a mustang, the ride is sportier than the camry, but you lose at the resale value department.
Until you get behind the wheel of both of those cars, you really shouldn’t pressure yourself to choose
good luck!
