Index of 2010 Mercedes-Benz E Class Expert Reviews
- thecarconnection—STYLING:The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class gets a drastic restyle that brings it back to a more masculine shape; PERFORMANCE:The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class adds a revised suspension to last year’s engines and hits upon a winning combination; QUALITY:For 2010, Mercedes-Benz upgrades the E-Class’ interior room a little bit, and its quality feel nearly to S-Class standards; SAFETY:The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class hasn’t yet been crash-tested, but it sports the longest safety-feature list of any E-Class to date; FEATURES:The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class can’t be considered a bargain with a $48,600 base MSRP, but its features list certainly justifies the price.
- cars.com—”For its size, though, even the E350 coupe isn’t cheap, and its standard-equipment list lacks some of the mundane fare found on cheaper premium/luxury cars, such as heated seats, iPod connectivity, a backup camera, parking sensors, active xenon headlights and more. When configured with all the available features — excluding cosmetic upgrades — even an E350’s sticker grazes the $60,000 mark.”
- Edmunds—”Restyled, higher in quality and more enjoyable to drive, the redesigned 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a luxury-car triumph. Shoppers in this segment will want to give it serious consideration.Pros:Superb ride and handling balance, potent engines, extensive array of luxury- and safety-oriented features, first-class cabin appointments, spacious interior. Cons:COMAND interface is occasionally fussy to use, controversial exterior styling.”
- cnet—”Good looks and excellent tech make for a winning combination in the 2010 Mercedes-Benz E550 Coupe. The exterior design is striking, earning the car good marks. The interface design for the cabin tech is good, although not the best we’ve seen. For performance tech, we were impressed by the sport setting and the capabilities of the automatic transmission. The engine, while powerful and well-tuned, seems a little last century, making good use of valve timing but not really advancing the art in other ways. The cabin tech package leaves little to be desired, beyond maybe some other external data sources for the navigation system besides traffic.”
