Index of 2010 Scion xB expert Reviews
- thecarconnection—STYLING:It remains as divisive as it was in 2002, but the slightly rounder styling of the 2010 Scion xB keeps it distinctive too;PERFORMANCE:The 2010 Scion xB may disappoint you if you’re looking for zippy handling or sky-high gas mileage;QUALITY:The 2010 Scion xB scores high on utility and cargo space, but not so well on comfort, which is only average;SAFETY:The 2010 Scion xB includes a great deal of standard safety equipment and protects occupants well, but check the visibility yourself;FEATURES:With the 2010 Scion xB, buyers get a lot to start with, but they can add far more features to make it truly their own.
- Edmunds—”The 2010 Scion xB is a capable compact people mover and cargo hauler that packs a decent underhood punch. Fuel economy is lackluster, however, and the unconventional styling isn’t for everyone. Pros: Peppy four-cylinder engine, spacious interior, funky styling, numerous optional add-ons, audiophile-friendly. Cons: So-so fuel economy, distracting center-mounted gauges, steering wheel doesn’t telescope, plasticky interior.”
- CarGurus—”No one will accuse the 2010 Scion xB of being a luxury car, and better yet, it’s not priced that way. However, you can check off a lot of options that will get you a very well-equipped, personalized, fun car to drive. The fact that you can do this for under twenty thousand dollars only speaks to the incredible niche Scion has created with its xB.”
- CNET—”The good: The 2010 Scion xB features nimble handling (thanks in part to its TRD lowering springs) and a good amount of power for a vehicle this size. It’s also larger and more spacious than the competition. If you’re looking for a vehicle in which to build an aftermarket car stereo, look no further. The bad: Bluetooth hands-free calling feels tacked on and is difficult to use. Searching for media on the Alpine premium receiver is slow and frustrating. Touch screen for navigation is small and poorly located. Audio system is in desperate need of a powered subwoofer. The bottom line: The 2010 xB is a solid performer with good handling and confident acceleration. However, its poorly integrated cabin technology is a bit five-years-ago, lagging behind that of other OEMs and the aftermarket.”
Buying Tips:
Check out the smaller 2010 Scion xD while you’re at the dealer. It gets far better fuel economy and might suit your needs well enough.
