Index of 2010 Subaru Forester Expert Reviews

  • thecarconnection—STYLING:While the Forester’s styling has improved greatly over the past couple of years, it’s still very boxy and utilitarian when compared to the competition;PERFORMANCE :Compared to the competition, the 2010 Subaru Forester handles most like a car, but its outdated four-speed automatic transmission is a letdown;QUALITY :The 2010 Subaru Forester is hit and miss in this respect, with a spacious interior, a rather good ride, and great build quality but unimpressive materials;SAFETY:The 2010 Subaru Forester is one of the safest vehicles in its class;FEATURES:The 2010 Subaru Forester is a little Spartan on the base models, but most commonly desired features are on offer at the top of the range.
  • Edmunds—”Pros:Standard all-wheel drive, roomy cabin with ample cargo space, comfortable ride, capable engines, excellent safety scores. Cons:Outdated four-speed automatic transmission, so-so fit and finish.”
  • cnet—”The good: With its turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Limited offers a good compromise between power and fuel economy. Standard all-wheel-drive makes it a capable car for ski trips and light off-road exploring. The bad: The six-speaker-audio system does a poor job with music, and there is no iPod integration. Its other tech options are behind the curve. The four-speed-automatic transmission seems primitive compared with the competition. The bottom line: A very drivable and capable-feeling car, the 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5XT Limited’s cabin tech options offer just the minimum of modern automotive convenience.”
