Problem with ‘97 Dodge neon brakes! Please help!?—By Oz Waz Killa
I have a strange problem with my passenger-side brake. On really hot, humid days, when the temperature is 75 or above usually, the passenger side brake seems to stick to the brake disk. It’s a weird problem because this doesn’t happen on cool or cold days (such as the winter) and never happens at night when it is cooler. But when the sun is out, beeming and relatively warm, the brake sticks and it feels like im driving with the e-brake on (ebrake isnt the problem). When im at a stop light, and i take my foot of the brake, sometimes it doesn’t move or moves extremely slow as if the brake is still pressed. Anyone know anything I can do? Some kind of spray i can spray to the brake disc, or any suggestions? Please help, sometimes I see my brake disc smoking because it’s so hot from the brake pad sticking. Please help!!

you got a caliper with air in it or air in the system or a sticking caliper,we ran across one doing something similar to the same thing yours is doing and after changing calipers on it an bleeding the brakes out real good it finally straitened up,and it had did it for a year or more and the owner had spent a lot of money at other places trying to repair it,check to see if its that or the anti lock brakes that’s causing this too happen, sometimes the anti lock pump when heated up will create an air lock which will cause that too happen,if you have it scanned you have a hidden trouble code in ot for the anti lock brakes,no promises though ,because most of the time those wont give a code for the problem your having, good luck with it.

Your caliper piston or slides could be sticking, in rare case, the hose at the caliper may be broken internally and not allowing the brake fluid to return to the master cylinder thus cause the brake to stick. You should have the brakes check, one stuck caliper can cause the car to pull to one side during braking.
