98 audi A4 quattro 1.8t fuel filter?—by jason f
How do you change out the fuel filter? Do you have to remove the fuel tank?

take off the bottom banjo fitting, cap the filter with the cap that comes on the new filter so it doesn’t drip on you. Grab the filter with giant h2o pump pliers and pull it down out of the holder. You have to pry the plastic ring that keeps it from sliding down out of the way, once that’s out of the way it comes right out
