If you do a lot of city driving a clutch gets to be a pain in the a,s. However the transmission is the same six speed thats in the viper and the vett so no worries there. When it comes to the Benz 5 speed automatic with auto stick its hard to beat. The converter in my 07 Charger stalls at 2200 rpm and when take my foot off the brake and nail it, it goes like a rocket with only about six feet of light wheel spin. And the car is a joy in the city to drive. Its up to the person which one they want but you do have to learn to get a stick off the line and power shift it to out run a automatic same car.Owned MOPARS only sense 1962 every combination you can think of.ASE Master Auto Tech over 40 yrs

All of my dodges have had stick shfts. they do fine just do not drop the clutch above 2000 rpm or you could be minus a few toes

the automatic is really good in those also and a lot less hassle to drive especially in the city,my neighbor owns a few challengers one new one and he choose the automatic and i have drove it and i like it better in the newer challenger than the standard shift one,the new 6 speed automatic is fun to drive, good luck.
