The 2008 Chrysler Pacifica delivers carlike handling from its Mercedes-Benz-sourced suspension and inspires more confidence than typical minivans and truck-based sport-utilities.

While the Pacifica presents an alternative to the SUV/minivan, its 15/22 mpg fuel range, low reliability scores, and steep depreciation suggest other American or Japanese alternatives.

The Pacifica earned outstanding scores in government crash tests. All-wheel drive is available, making it a good choice for snow country.

This is one great car. Extremely comfortable, powerful, fast (I see too many speeding tickets in my future), and it handles great as well. Excellent ride quality and responsive, if somewhat numb steering. Averaging over 20 MPG in mixed driving - and that’s during the first 1,000 miles. Upgraded Boston Acoustics stereo is worth the money - makes the car a rolling sound studio. Exceptional build quality for an American car. cars.com reviewed the 2008 Chrysler Aspen and gave out”The platform isn’t the only component Dodge donated: The vehicle’s nameplate, Aspen, was Dodge’s replacement for the Dart in 1976. Chrysler presumably hopes this Aspen, its first SUV, will surpass the original car’s five-year run.
Essentially a well-equipped Durango, the seven- or eight-seat Aspen sports Chrysler-signature side markings and grille elements. Under the hood is a choice of two V-8 engines, the latter being Chrysler’s 5.7-liter Hemi. Two different four-wheel-drive systems are available.”
