Pros: style-looks, interior space, comfort, price-value
Cons: sun visor needs an extender
I test drove the xB about a month ago and new immediately I was going to buy one…and picked up my silver xB last week on 30 Oct 07. I was also considering the Honda Element, but the xB hooked me immediately. I am amazed at how large the xB feels….and one of the first comments people make once they get inside is that they can’t believe how much room it has, and the seats are really comfortable. I’m also amazed at the amount of power coming from the 4 cylinder engine…so that’s been a plus. My next door neighbor asked me what it was because he liked the cool futuristic look….I’ve noticed it’s really a head turner…The one negative that I’ve found so far is that the sun visor is too short when you pull it around to the side windows….it really needs an extender of some type. But that’s really the only negative I’ve found so far….all in all this car is a great value….you get so much for the money! I can’t wait to get it on the highway…when I go visit family in KY over Thanksgiving! If you’re looking for a small utility vehicle that has some head turning style, you can’t go wrong with the 08 xB. Continue reading »

2008 Scion xB Review
The new xB offers a broad array of cabin electronics as options, in direct contrast to the entry-level-only original version, which offered an auxiliary audio input as its main nod to interior tech.

Cnet Reviewed the 2008 Scion xB and gave out”The good: The 2008 Scion xB is a tech-laden bargain wagon with a nice standard iPod interface among its many cabin electronics, plenty of space inside, and an easy-to-drive nature. The bad: Bluetooth cell phone integration is glaringly absent, and overall the new xB is bigger and less stylish than its urban-chic predecessor. The bottom line: The new Scion xB has lost its bold exterior creases and some of its character, but has also grown up a bit and now represents one of the best tech values we’ve seen in a new car.”

2008 Scion xB Review
The base model is comfortable and covers all of the basics and safety features, such as side curtain airbags, electronic stability control and traction control. With a starting price of $15,650, including shipping, the xB is a good value, a factor that may start to attract older, less hip buyers.

cars.com Reviewed the 2008 Scion xB and gave out”Performance: Good New 2.4-liter engine provides more power and longer wheelbase and wider track create better handling. Exterior: Good The xB wears its softer edges and bigger size well. Interior: Good Very nontraditional. Increased space makes it more comfortable but over use of plastic feels low grade. Safety: Excellent Standard side curtain airbags for front and rear passengers, antilock brakes and electronic stability control. Pros: A well-priced multipurpose vehicle. Cons: New xB loses some of its funk factor.”

2008 Scion tC Review
Acceleration can be spirited if the engine is pushed, but the four-cylinder sounds strained and noisy at higher rpm. The gearshift flicks easily between ratios, but the clutch can be jumpy, which makes smooth takeoffs a bit of a chore.

Cars Reviewed the 2008 Scion tC and gave out”In fact, the car’s platform is shared with the Avensis, a Toyota model that’s sold in Europe. The tC hatchback coupe uses a 160-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine…”
