Im going to be 16 years old in a few months, and I have been talking to my parents about getting my license. They say that i cannot get it for several reasons. The main reason is because it cost too much. I don’t know how much it exactly costs and they aren’t willing to come to a compromise with me. I am almost positive my family uses State Farm Insurance and I’m sure I would qualify for their good student program, so I’m wondering…. how much does it cost all together to get your drivers license and insurance?

Depends on what state you are in.
Have you had drivers Ed?
Are you male or female.
Females get a better break on insurance for some unknown reason.
But because you are under age 24, you are going to pay more also.
Even what type car you drive will control some of the cost of insurance.
The license is cheap enough.
Car and Insurance is the biggest cost,
