How much will it cost to restore a 1969 camaro?—By Skate
I am just asking, i figure the shell from a junkyard, or some guy will probably cost up to 3000, but i wanted to know how much it will cost to restore everything, i dont want it to be like a chip foose car, i just want it to be a nice looking and running car, i need to know engine cost, tires, brakes, trans, EVERYTHING else. If you can just give me a rundown, or list of parts and costs that would be awesome. I really dont want to spend over 11000 total including the shell

You aren’t restoring a junkyard shell for 11K including the cost of the shell. Sorry to say but you’re out of your league and crazy for that little of a budget. It’s just not happening. Body work and paint will easily chew up half of that budget to do it RIGHT. There’s no set price for a motor, interior work, body work etc so you’re not asking the correct question.
Like the one response said, 30-35K to start and can easily go up from there.
With that small of a budget you need to to look elsewhere.

A lot of it depends on how much of the labor you can do yourself. If you don’t have an engine or tranny, you most likely won’t be able to come in under 11k.

If your not even willing to look up these items on your own then I’d wager your not going to be doing the work yourself either. I’d put the cost in the 30-35 range. it cost a lot to completely rebuild a car to running condition
