I have a 2003 Mondeo Zetec and for some reason, the digital outside temperature is suddenly way off?—by Fray Fan
It has worked fine up till now but yesterday, when the temperature was zero degrees celcius, my dashboard readout read 15 celcius. I thought it might correct itself once the engine was turned off, but this morning with a harsh frost outside, my display is reading 8 degree celcius. I’m assuming this readout effects the auto air con. Any ideas? Thanks

Probably some muck on the sensor; I don’t know for sure on your model, but on mine the sensor is behind the front bumper. Might be a slightly dicky connection, too. It doesn’t affect the interior temperature (or, at least, it doesn’t on mine, again), that’s controlled by a sensor inside the car.
