Dodge Charger or Chevy Camaro
With the two Vehicle Dodge Charger and Chevy Camaro, which one would be your choice, that’s the problem given by D Lee:)

I’m looking to buy a new car in a little while and I was wondering which would be the better buy. I like the looks of both the Charger and the Camaro, but I’m leaning towards the Camaro in the visual department. As far as performance and value, I don’t know which would be the better choice.
I like the spaciousness of the Charger, but since the Camaro is a two-door, the back seat is a little smaller, and the trunk space is almost laughable. I don’t really think I’ll need the big trunk space for much now, but I’d like to hold on to the car for a while, maybe after I start a family or something, so then the Charger would (maybe) be a better long-term choice. Then again there is the extra $1,700 per year I’d have to pay as a gas-guzzler tax for the already more expensive Charger (I’d like to get an SRT8 and RT). The other good thing about the Camaro is that the 2SS isn’t that much much more expensive than the other packages, and they’re all pretty good, whereas the Charger goes from “meh” to “WOW” between the packages. So with all this knowledge, and whatever else you may know about these cars, which would you get? Which is more worth getting? Any fan boys/girls out there with some knowledge about past Chargers and Camaros are more than welcome, but none of that “Don’t get the Charger! It’s got 4 doors!” crap, I like the way it looks. That’s a big reason in why I want one. Thanks for your help!

i would get the camaro 2SS i think they look pretty cool and the interior is diffrent but in a good way and the charger srt-9 isnt to bad i wouldnt mind having 1 but i would go for the camaro plus the chevy is a lil faster but they should least i hope come out with a 2011 camaro z28 with around 550hp and it will probaly get the 6.2 liter s/c but im hoping for the ls7 but i guess the ls7 is pretty much dead but for the z28 ur be paying more high 40k low 50k’s but i suggest the camaro i own a 87 IROC-Z camaro which is GREAT! also i think the new camaro will help out chevy ALOT with great mileage, fantastic power, and gotta be a steal of a deal at 30k for 426 hp and rlly high torque! the charger srt8 is pretty cool but ill go for the camaro also i think they might start sellin the new camaro TODAY i didnt c the whole thing but on the news there was a dealership with a bunch of new camaros so im thinking they are starting to sell them here in oregon! cant wait to hear 1! i wanna race 1 as soon as i can in my dodge durango

The Charger is the car to buy. I have an 07 Charger R/T with the road and track package. What that means is the car has the power and underpinnings as a Daytona without the insurance cost of a Daytona.
This car has never been back to the dealer for anything and I drive it hard.
Also for $900.00 I bumped it from 350 to 435 horse. Over the holidays we took an over 4000 mile trip with the car. This Charger is the most comfortable car I’ve ever owned and I’m 62 yrs old. I bought two Trans Ams [same Camaro] an 87 and a 91new they where both junk. I traded the 91 for a new 94 RAM it has over 300,000 miles on it now and is still a good Dodge. For me I’ll never buy GM of any kind again.

thats easy the camaro like someone already said the charger today is a very common ride but the camaro is a strictly made muscle car.although more expensive than the charger you will get great things from it. personally judging from both of these cars past if was back in the 1960s when they were very popular i would have a headache thinking whether to get a 427 copo camaro with a M22 muncie 4speed or the beast of a car 426 hemi with a A833 4speed rt dodge charger omg i wish i was alive back in the muscle car era but todays era camaro is a no brainer

Why aren’t you comparing the Dodge Challenger to the Camaro. If you want a family car later buy a 4dr Honda or toyota.

Atleast compare the Camaro to its competition, the CHALLENGER. And both are very nice visually, but I would go for the Challenger.

It depends on what you like.Me personally I own a ‘06 Dodge Charger R/T and I would go for the newer model car which is The Camaro.It looks like a 2 door Charger anyway which is what Dodge Charger fans wanted from the get go. It came in the form of a SS Chevy Camaro.Not to mention the price is attractive considering the power the car has.Over 426 horse power is great.Even the base model Camaro is killing the base model V6 Charger (the 3.5 one) which only has 250 horse power vs. the V6 Camro’s 304 horse power.The 2.7 liter V6 Charger is a joke.At the same token That V8 Hemi powered family sedan will easily breeze by most sports car.It’s all about going with the bigger car vs. the smaller car.It’s up to you but id say go with the camaro.
