Excitement for 2013 Audi Cup is rising

More than 80,000 tickets for tournament on July 31/August 1 sold

Manchester City and AC Milan will open the 2013 Audi Cup in the first semi-final on July 31. Afterward, Treble winner FC Bayern München will meet with FC São Paulo to play for entering the final. The excitement of the fans for the third edition of the Audi Cup is rising, as more than half of the tickets for the tournament at the Allianz Arena have already been sold.

The semi-final pairings have been confirmed. Europe’s most successful club team will meet in the second semi-final with the three-time World Cup winner and reigning Champion of the South American “Copa Sudamericana” Club Championship, FC São Paulo. The kick-off times are scheduled for 18:15 and 20:30.

The final on Thursday, August 1, will be about answering the question of who will be succeeding FC Bayern München and FC Barcelona, the teams that won the Audi Cup in 2009 and 2011. This year, the winner will again receive the coveted trophy, a cup with a height of 60 centimeters, which has been created by Audi Design and is made of aluminum.
