I use this in my work vehicle (motorcoach) and it’s very comfortable compared to the seat by itself. I always want to have something between me and the seat. Have tried other wedge-type cushions and this has been the best. The openings provide relief from heat and it doesn’t slide around. I like that it folds and fits neatly in my workbag. It did have a petroleum odor at first but that dissipated after awhile. It fits perfectly in the center of a bucket seat and I can drive my full eight-hour shift and not experience any discomfort. I’d hesitate to purchase the larger one, for the wheelchair, since I think it would put pressure on the thighs. If your back aches from sitting for long periods, you’re going to like this cushion.

Cushion still outgasses a strong smell months later. No good for an enclosed area such as a car.

Purchased this for my husband. He could not ride in a car for more than 30 minutes without his hip hurting. He uses this all the time now with no complaints of his hip hurting.

I purchased this product hoping to alleviate excess pressure on my tailbone and glutes from chairs at work and at home. To its credit, the cushion did elevate my tailbone so there wasn’t as much pressure in that location. However, the gel was so hard that it pressed uncomfortably against my glutes. The cushion is angled so it is slightly higher in the back than it is in the front, and while I’d guess this was done for ergonomic reasons, in my case it seemed to make things worse. I found myself wishing it contained a lot more gel. It didn’t “give” enough to be a good cushion for my needs.
It’s too bad, too, because other than that the design is really great. I love that it folds in half, just about the size of a big clutch purse, so you can carry it easily in a bag or under your elbow. I would have kept it if it were the least bit comfortable, but it just didn’t help me at all.

The seat pad in the office chair I bought from Office Depot became compressed & no longer soft after just a couple of months’ use, and it really started to be painful to sit on it. This product really helped to supplement it. The trough in the middle is especially helpful in making sure that only your legs & buttocks are supporting your weight rather than soft tissue.
