Since nobody has seen the redesigned Sonata up close yet it’s hard to say if it will surpass the segment leading Camry and Accord in sales.
If the indications are accurate it will be very compelling fight and if it does fall behind in sales it won’t be because of it’s engineering, performance, quality or reliability. One thing the new Sonata has is a style that the public will either love or hate. Not like the ultra conservative Accord that doesn’t offend anyone.
Hyundai is a company out to make a name for itself and this car (along with the Genesis) will help Hyundai at least level the playing field and bring them the respect they deserve. They are no longer considered cheap Korean toss away cars.

Sonata looks promising but it always looks like a mish-mash of other cars pieced together. Will it ever have an identity of its own?
Accord is def the class leader. So go with that.
Dont listen to these Ford salesmen. Never buy Ford. They are CRAP and will always break down. My family used to only buy Ford and every one of them stalled at 10,000 miles and broke down. Never more!

Camry is the best. It’s a Toyota and nothing that they make is crap. Their engines last the longest of any on the road.
Honda is second… but only to Toyota. The upside of the Accord is that it seems a little more luxurious than the Camry… seems…. I’m certain you can get the same features on both vehicles.
Hyundai…. well, they are up and coming…. but haven’t been good for long enough to get my vote when compared to Toyota or Honda. Good company, good cars…. but not for long enough.
Either way, I think you’d be getting a good car so it just comes down to features for the price and what you like the most. Happy hunting!
