Mazda MAZDA3 Reviews and Buying Tips

Last update 18 May’09- Review @ TheCarConnection

The 2010 Mazda3 engages drivers like few other compact cars, though a little more room and less noise couldn’t hurt.

  • Auto123–The 2010 Mazda3 is an improvement over the previous generation; since the 2009 model was already a competent car, however, don’t expect a revolution. The new 3 is worthwhile for the extra gear in the automatic transmission, the small gain in refinement and, of course, the happy face.Mazda’s savvy marketing team unabashedly claimed the 3 as being the bestselling car in 2009, an audacious move since we’re only a quarter-way through the calendar year (as this is being written, of course). If the company wants their compact car to hold its title until Christmas, and the Mazda3 has what it takes to do so, it will have to keep its price at an affordable level.
  • TheCarConnection
STYLING-The restyled 2010 Mazda Mazda3 wins more than a few fans with its cutting-edge (and attention-getting) interior and exterior styling.
PERFORMANCE-The 2010 Mazda Mazda3 doesn’t offer the best EPA numbers in the class, but for driving excitement, it’s hard to top.
QUALITY-The seats inside the 2010 Mazda Mazda3 are long-haul comfortable, but your ears will have to withstand a tire-noise assault.
SAFETY-The 2010 Mazda Mazda3 might have a full roster of airbags, but it lacks standard ABS and electronic stability control.
FEATURES-The 2010 Mazda Mazda3, at least in Grand Touring garb, is a high-end model selling for a serious discount.

s Grand Touring 5-Door,Great car, bought it new, it has 12k now. Love every minute of riding time on this car. Fun to drive, remind me of my BMW 320 that I used to have. Average 24 mpg in the city and I don't try to save gas when I drive! :)
Realiable car, Love the hatch back. I have carried so many things in it that I could not have taken it if I have bought the Honda Civic.
I wish they have a factory roof rack from factory.
I have being pulling my Jet ski (installed a U-Hall hitch) and it has been great.

I bought my 2010 s Sport 4-Door off the truck as they were being delivered on 4 March. I traded in my old Mazda 3 for it. This vehicle is a serious upgrade over my old one. Bigger motor, The interior and dashboard is a definite upgrade over my old one (and that's saying a lot). I traded a leather interior in for cloth, but the new seats are much better, with more side support. You can turn off the stability control and scorch your tires at a stoplight (with an automatic)!!! The car feels more solid, has a “German” feel to it. They built more quality into it and kept the zoom-zoom. I like that.

I’m looking at the 2010 and up Mazda3 iSport models Are these good, reliable cars for a starting car? Currently I drive an ‘01 Protege, but after High school I plan on buying a Mazda3, probably not 2010 by the time I graduate, but more like 2012 Mazda3.
