program remote for 2006 pontiac grand prix
How to program a remote for a 2006 grand prix?—By phoenix_jme
I found this remote for a Buick but its the same looking and has the same buttons as my Pontiac. So can I reprogram it and how? 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix the remote has the lock, un-look, trunk popper, panic alarm and remote start buttons, and yes my grand prix does all of these, thank you!

Unfortunately, there is no end user programming procedure. I know for a fact that Cadillac Escalades and Ykon Denali’s can be programmed by the user, but the grand prix requires the use of a Tech2 scan tool. If I were you, I would call the dealer and ask them how much they charge to reprogram remotes. It only take about 5 minutes, if that. I don’t see them charging you $250. Back in the day when you could just jumper a terminal under the dash or in the truck, my dealer service advisors would do this for free. Also, at one point, I had heard that places like Autozone were selling aftermarket replacement remotes for gm cars. If they are, they might very well have a way of programming them. Sorry, but it does look like you may have to go to the dealer
