Is it easy to replace a side view mirror on a 2006 Scion tC? By bdoyle71

I own a 2006 Scion tC. I got in a minor accident and the side view passenger side mirror broke off. I was thinking about buying a new one and replacing it myself. Would it be easy to do? I don’t see it being difficult.

very easy DIY job!there is a cover on the inside of the door that covers the 3 nuts that hold on the mirror
you will need a 10mm socket and ratchet,5min and your done:)

    Yes it is very easy to change that mirror. If you remove that black plastic cover behind the mirror (on the inside of the door)(it just pops off) there should be 3 nuts to remove and 2 plastic push clips in the weather strip. Unplug your electrical connector and remove the mirror assembly. Reverse proceedures to install.

    if you have a waranty on it it will be free. you should let them do it because sometimes if you replace it your self the adjustment will not work properly
