Scared to drive after car accident
Scared to drive after car accident?—By Kim D
I was in a car accident a few days ago. I was driving, and i took my eyes off the road for a plit second, and i was driving on the gravel. for some reason a overcorrected and then i turned the wheel back and i ended up flipping and rolling into a cornfield. I am fine, I was wearing my seatbelt. I’m 16 years old and i can’t really get over it and i am scared to drive now. i might have been going to fast, and the road was a little wet. i know that i should not have been speeding, especially when the road was wet, and i shouldn’t have taken my eyes off the road. how do i get over this? has this happened to anyone? p.s. i wasn’t texting or talking on a cell phone.

Most car accidents are rather traumatic – but in all seriousness, this old saying was never truer – if you fall off your horse, you must get back on.
You have learned some pretty important lessons from this experience – you must pay attention to the road conditions and the road ahead at all times. It was a hard lesson, but I bet you never forget it and you’ll be a better driver in the future for it.

You want to know how to get over this? Get back behind the wheel, my friend, and start over. When a cowboy gets thrown off a horse, the best thing he can do is get back on that thing. If you don’t, you may never get back behind the wheel again.

It will take time and you driving to get over your fear. Just learn from your mistake and be more careful next time.
