How can I increase the towing capacity for Dodge 1500 4×4?—by britt1624
I have a friend that has a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4×4 and he is selling it at an unbelievable price. The only problem is that I may need a 2500 to tow our horses. The deal is too great to pass up. Is there any way to increase the towing proformance of this truck? Are there any web sites that may help with this?

add a leaf spring or two, larger radiator, larger alternator. The hemi (im presuming this is what this truck has) has more than enough power to do the job, but you need to cool it effectively.
You might be able to have your dodge dealer install the trailer-tow package so you can keep it under warranty
