Turning signal problems with a 2000 Chevy Malibu LS?—by fungirlt
For about the last year my car’s turning signals having been acting weird. It doesn’t happen all the time but it seems like when I drive it for at least a good 45 mins to an hour the turn signals stop completely. They don’t work on in the inside or the outside of the car. I have checked the fuses, even though I doubted that was the case. Then when I either turn the car off for a little while or turn the AC on full blast for a good few mins then they start to work again. It happens a lot more in the summer. Any ideas?

For sure I’d check out the flasher relay bec it’s under the dash and when you turn on theAC it cools it down enough to make it start working again. Keep in mind relays work with copper inside that gets hot and cold fast causing the copper to expand thus connecting the two pieces of copper, this causes the signals to then flash on and off and it’s cheap copper that they use.
