How can I avoid traffic jams?—By MiaryS
I live in Hanoi – capital of Vietnam. Its nice but got so many traffic jams. I travel by motor and it always takes me 2 hours from home to work which is only about 5km. The traffic jams are often from cross road. How can I avoid it?

Well, if Hanoi is at all like Saigon, riding a bicycle is a risky option, as competing with 965,000,000. small motorcycles would be DEADLY.
I DID see some folks on bicycles there, but I also saw quite a few accidents too.
WALKING is a bit risky too, as there is no such thing as “right-of-way”, it’s every person for themself on the street.
I guess you have to “keep on keeping on” as we say over here, and learn to live with it.

i would suggest u to go buy a bicycle. u don’t need to stop so much at traffic lights and u can take shortcuts. and it’s healthy, and environmentally-friendly. and I’m sure u don’t need to take 2 hours to cover 5km on a bicycle.
