hi,for me Bike tire blowout by being overweight?
Is it possible to blow out a bike tire simply by having too for the wheels to handle?
everytime I get on my bike with my books, the tires seem to look flat at the point of contact on the road.
is this normal or is it time for a new bike?

Too much weight can cause “pinch flats.” These mostly happen when you hit a bump. The tire and tube compress so much at the point of impact that a small tear occurs in the tube. To prevent this, make sure that your tires are always inflated to the max pressure indicated on the sidewall. If it still happens, look for a new tire with the greatest distance between the rim and the tread’s contact surface with the road. That will give you some leeway. You are looking for a tire with a high “aspect ratio” (height divided by width). Hope this helps.

Hi,
it really depends how much weight we’re talking about.
At one (1) point, I weighed 250lbs, and decided to ride my long-forgotten road bike. I got blowouts all the time.
So I got a mountain bike w/ the fat tires and rode the heck out of it w/ no flats.
Now I’m 160 and ride a road bike just fine
