How To Operate a Car Jack

  • Tips:Most car jacks are scissor jacks; to raise, turn the knob at the end of the jack using the hand crank that comes with it. If your jack doesn’t seem to be working, try turning the handle the other way, or see if your jack has a switch you need to flip marked “L” for lower and “R” for raise.

Anybody know where to put the car jack? It’s like there’s no place near the back with any support.

I should say in the owners manual. But if you’re like me and lost it there should be a recess in the frame underneath the car just in front of the rear tires, it will be towards the side of the car. If you use common sense and make sure the car is stable it should work. Also don’t put jack on the trim… it will rip it off.
