Any older high mileage European car will be a maintenance nightmare. Sure they look great, have great lines and a lot of style and when they were new they were King of the Hill. But as they age those high tech systems fail and those overengineered parts are expensive and so is the labor. Old BMW, M-B and Audi cars are very unreliable and expensive to maintain.
If you are working within a limited budget stick with a known source for economy and reliability. Buy an Acura/Honda.

It looks like you’re looking for a big luxurious car at a budget price. You say you don’t care for American vehicles, but it seems that a Lincoln Town Car fits exactly what you want. It’s also less expensive to maintain and repair than an old European car.
